It is a lot of fun being a fork truck driver; driving backwards with your head either twisted to look behind you or looking up all the time. For Troy, this was an eight hour a day situation. “My back was constantly getting wrenched out of shape. The first time I got chiropractic care I was being seen for a pain I was getting down my right arm into my elbow. The adjustments really helped.”

When asked if he was nervous about getting adjustments at Stone Chiropractic Health Center, Troy replied, “I think with chiropractic you’re always nervous about messing with bones and your back. All doctors treat differently, too.” Since Troy wasn’t taking medication for pain and wanted to do a more natural approach, he began coming in regularly and says he is now so much better. “There were times when I would come in for an adjustment after work and be barely able to move my head and neck from looking up and over my shoulder at work. After an adjustment with Stone it was like, a huge relief. It’s amazing what a difference it makes. I still come in three times a week to keep my back moving and mobile. Just getting it back in alignment is a big relief. The staff is very considerate and very welcoming. I am doing so much better since coming here.”

Not surprising, considering he delivers the mail on foot rather than from the standard mail truck. Tired of living every day with the pain, he decided to come see us after talking to his co-worker, Nancy who is a patient of ours. She was so happy with her results, he thought he would give it a try.

Before becoming a patient, John was taking Tylenol for his pain. The only thing it did was lessen it for awhile, it wasn’t a long lasting correction. Sure he was nervous before his first visit because he had never been to a chiropractor before. “I didn’t know what was going to happen” states John, when talking about his first visit, adding, “the staff made me feel comfortable and I would definitely recommend family and friends to Stone Chiropractic Health Center.

So how has John been feeling since experiencing chiropractic? “My pain is rare now and I am feeling good” says John. He has been sticking to his schedule and is now at a stage of maintaining his improvement.

Being active in karate, Brianna found that her ribs were going out of place a lot. That’s when mom, Regina, decided to try chiropractic. “We found you in the phonebook and originally started to help Brianna with her ribs. I was also having a lot of back and neck pain.” Regina started soon after her oldest daughter, who says she heard a lot about us from her English teacher.

Even though they were nervous, it didn’t take long before Regina’s other two daughters, Madison and Susanna, were also patients, dad, Chris, was a harder sell. “I had to talk him into it.” Regina tells us. “I had never been to a chiropractor before, but I have always had back pain,” Chris explains, “I wasn’t nervous, just skeptical.”

“I am feeling much better now, I was having a lot of sinus pain and pressure and I’m not getting that anymore.” Regina says. Brianna also told us, “I am feeling better, too.” Susanna gives a thumbs up and agrees the girls are both feeling better with care, also. As for dad? “I still have some back problems, but chiropractic care makes it tolerable.”

The family would absolutely feel comfortable referring friends and family here. “Dr. Stone is great with the kids,” Regina says, “It’s more like coming in to visit a friend than coming to see a doctor.” Chris agrees, “It’s hard to imagine going anywhere else.”

He had never been to a Chiropractor before and was not sure what was in store for him. When Dan came in for his initial consultation, he felt the office was “great.” “Dr. Stone really grows on you”. “He makes me comfortable; I come in here and it’s like family and I’m comfortable with everyone.”

Since he started care, Dan told me, “I feel 10 years younger! I am able to run a mile without having to stop, I’m more active, and I literally feel younger.”

“I was nursing a thirty-five year old injury from an accident and I figured it was time that I tried chiropractic,” Greg tells us, adding, “and it worked out well.” “I had never been to a chiropractor before, I had just been putting it off. I’m kind of ashamed to say I waited this long.”

After waiting so long and finally deciding to try it, was he nervous? “No,” he says with a smile, “I spoke to another patient and he basically said, ‘hey, don’t be nervous’.” “The staff is great. Everybody is really helpful and explained everything I was going through and what was to be expected and what was going on. They are great.”

So how is Greg doing now, after breaking down and giving Stone Chiropractic a try? “Better! I’m surprised I waited this long. I had learned to live with the pain over the years and didn’t realize how much it would help. I have a much greater range of motion, which is what I was losing before, so it has worked out well. The only thing left to say is, thank you.”

“My doctor sent me to physical therapy instead. It was wonderful, they incorporated nerve stimulation, exercising, and stretching. It was really helping me but came to a screeching halt when insurance reached its physical therapy limit. It was doing ok for awhile after I stopped therapy but the pain started again after about three or four months. After that, I was in pain a lot and used the exercises and stretches they taught me at home, but it only helped for a while.”

After Betty’s husband got sick, she was worried more about him than about herself. “I ended up going back to my doctor who wanted to send me out to a surgeon again. She set up the appointment for me, but my husband wasn’t doing well and I ended up cancelling.” “I ended up talking to my friend Bonnie, who told me, ‘we see a chiropractor down here and he really knows what he’s doing.’ So I thought, since I didn’t want surgery, even if it helped at all it would be worth it if I didn’t have to get cut on.” The pain was constant at this point and ran down the side of her leg. She was hoping this would be a way to get rid of the pain and get some relief.

“I had never been to a chiropractor before but the staff made me very comfortable.” Betty has been coming in for quite a while now, and has she seen any improvement? “I am really getting along. It’s really been doing fine. Some days I have a feeling my back is going to slip out, but it’s not every day like it was. That feeling is gone now. I can say it really has helped, I’m glad I came here.” So are we Betty!
